FRESH LACES X HARVEY NICHOLS SNEAKER SPACE

After partnering up on a number of pop-up sneaker events across 2013/14, the Fresh Laces team have started off 2015 by teaming up once again with Harvey Nichols on a permanent sneaker space within the menswear shoe department in their flagship Knightsbridge store.  This is a massive step for the founders of Fresh Laces; Nathan & Louie, from their first sneaker event in early 2013.  Proof that they can offer something different to the other events which happen in the UK and an opportunity to reach out to a different type of “sneakerhead” who doesn’t want to be scrolling through ebay or Facebook groups to look for that rare heat.

Now open in store, I was keen to check out the space for myself having followed the Fresh Laces movement from their first event and was really impressed with what the team had done with the space. I was expecting to see heat and was not disappointed with a great mix of kicks from the high-end collabs befitting of their surroundings with Riccardo Tisci and Pigalle on the AF1s, through to Pattas AM1s & Jordan’s and for those with a bit more cash to splash, the ever popular Independence Day AM1s and Yeezy are also available!

I think what the team have delivered is very clever in identifying a gap in the market, with a customer who has the money to spend, like their kicks but want a one-stop-shop to meet their needs. This partnership with Harvey Nichols allows them the opportunity to offer that customer what they want – the most wanted rare and exclusive trainers in deadstock condition and for that I applaud them.

Make sure you go check this out in store and if you can’t get down to London, be sure to see what Fresh Laces is about at their pop-up event in the Harvey Nichols Manchester store on Feb 20th – see @fresh_laces on insta for more detail.
