PUMA MAKES WAVES WITH ALL-NEW UKIYO-E INSPIRED CAPSULE COLLECTION

This month PUMA took us to Japan with the launch of a special edition drop - the Marine Pack, honouring the nation’s annual holiday, ‘Marine Day’, a day to celebrate the ocean and its significance to Japan as an island nation.

The Marine Day collection boasts an array of fresh sneaker and apparel offerings, showing off the beauty of traditional Japanese Ukiyo-e art designs, executing a clear themed style through jacquard, embroidery and print techniques.

The latest PUMA collection embraces the traditional Japanese art style while embodying the fresh style of PUMA. Offering three iconic sneaker silhouettes, the Disc Blaze, Easy Rider and Clyde, the collection has an archive look and feel. The collection is rounded off with fresh bomber jackets and tees featuring the beautiful print for a unique look.

My favourite thing about this collection is the combination of textures and finishes on each of the iconic silhouettes. The Disc Blaze features the Japanese Ocean print on a neoprene base layer with rich suede overlays and TPU cage playing with matte and translucent finishing. The most understated style of the sneaker trio, Japanese Ocean print on a neoprene base layer with rich suede overlays and TPU cage playing with matte and translucent finishing.

The PUMA Marine Pack is available now from stockits such as END Clothing, FootPatrol, Well Gosh and Hanon.
