BOXFRESH SS15 COLLECTION - LONDON TAKE ON AMERICAN STREETWEAR

A mainstay on the high street and celebrating their 25th anniversary last year, this iconic British streetwear brand has unveiled its SS15 range.  Taking inspiration from the LA lifestyle and US sportswear scene, which is so prominent right now along with their own in-house design archive, they have delivered a strong colour offering which brings together both cultures perfectly.

With a refreshing take on lazy summers, Boxfresh have pulled together colours usually seen by the beach or basketball courts with shades of aquamarine, greys & blacks, palm tree prints, hues inspired by the sunset alongside cut and sew panels to add colour blocking.

This use of colour and design can be seen best on their signature ‘Bietal’ nylon parker jacket a Boxfresh range classic featuring raglan sleeves, mesh lines and technical features, updated for SS15, in the seasonal colour, Seaport.  Another new colour for SS15 is aquamarine which has been applied to the ‘Cosham’ loose fitting shirt with a bold ‘B’ added for branding and identification when out on the street.  Finally ‘Lozell’ fully encompasses that LA vibe with a bold palm tree print against an urban landscape colour block.

It wouldn’t be summer without some boards shorts and Boxfresh have this covered off – ‘Dochart’ a new edition to the range for SS15 continues with the colour blocking theme so popular in SS14 but with an added element to reflect the heritage of the brand with a ‘89’ badge which is a nice understated touch.

Even with all this colour, no range can be complete without an all black selection and here Boxfresh really deliver with their signature piece in the SS15 collection, the ‘Blacket’.  Appropriately named ‘Bird of Paradise’ this fully reversible bomber jacket in black with brightly coloured lining means you can update your look with the impact of a peacock showing their feathers, perfect for a fresh day to night– this is a firm favourite of mine!

To compliment the bomber jacket, there are also for the first time, offering a range of classic accessories in ‘all-black’ - this bag range offers clean lines, mesh detailing and lightweight in design which makes it is perfectly suited for hitting a skate park as well as the morning commute to work.

This SS15 collection offers fresh new designs, bold colour updates to their classic signature lines and new items which will become classics of the future.  Be sure to check out the range in early February at www.boxfresh.com or follow them on Twitter @Boxfresh to keep updated on the launch.
