WEEKDAY TO OPEN NEW LONDON STORE ON REGENT STREET
On April 28th Weekday opened their first store in Paris at 121, rue Vieille du Temple. More importantly for us here in the UK on August 18th Weekday will open at 226 Regent Street in London!
“The UK and France have always been on the agenda for our European expansion, as both have cities that are fashion capitals. To open on Regent street in London is a great honor, and a big opportunity for us, as it is one of the world’s premier shopping destinations while Rue Vieille du Temple is the epitome of current and youthful fashion in Paris. We are confident that our modern, mindful and minimalistic approach to fashion will be a great fit for both these two new locations.” - David Thörewik, Managing Director at Weekday
We're a big fan of Weekday, providing us with minimalistic fundamentals to any outfit and staple, denim and high-quality items for all occasions - we cannot wait for a store to land on our doorstep! Weekday was founded in 2002 in Stockholm, Sweden and is part of the H&M Group. It positions itself as a “modern and mindful” fashion and denim brand for men and women.
The brand's slouchy tailoring and minimalistic staples are heavily inspired by youth culture and street style, which will certainly fit right in in the capital. One of the most anticipated aspects of the London store is that UK customers will be able to get their hands on Weekday’s Zeitgeist project – a weekly drop of store-made T-shirts designed in response to current cultural events, from the political to the tongue-in-cheek - we cannot wait for this!
So, as a nod to Weekdays debut in the UK, we've picked out a few of our favourite pieces from their website to give you an idea of what you're going to be treated to! However, if you can't wait until then, you can shop until you drop online, here!
