If you’ve popped into your local high street clothing store recently, you’re likely to see a Motocross inspired line up straight from the catwalks of Marc Jacobs and inspiring  the Jeremy Scott for Adidas collection.

The leather biker chick look continues but mixed in with sports luxe to create a unique look with slogan tops, bodycon dresses and leather backpacks to finish off your outfit.

Alpinestars have recognised this trend and launched their AW14 collection to tap into this trend but bring real credibility with over half a century of true motorsports heritage and now taking it to the masses with a mainstream range – even better this is all at a more affordable price compared to a brand like KTZ who also tap into this trend.

Formed in the 60s, Alpinestars was started in Italy by Sante Mazzarolo who designed a new type of footwear to meet the needs of motorcross, which was a growing sport and a rich heritage in motorsports was born.

Utilising designs more familiar with their technical wear, this includes airmesh material more commonly seen as providing the ultimate in performance and comfort while riding your bike but now as the detail on their streetwear offering.   From 1963 to present day, Alpinestars legacy within motorsports can be seen in every garment they make from technical race clothing through to their current streetwear offering.
