KUTULA AW15

KUTULA, an emerging London based streetwear and lifestyle brand, release their debut unisex collection. Kutula, which means ‘peace’ in a Zulu dialect, was inspired by designer Jimi Herrtage’s trip to South Africa earlier this year.

Herrtage’s vision is to create a platform for collaboration with undiscovered creative communities and cultures across the globe. While the Kutula line will be based in the UK and this season will derive inspiration from South Africa, in the future it will look to work with emerging talent based in various international locations.

KUTULA’s AW15 collection is primarily based on a monochrome palette using the urban camouflage print throughout the 34-piece collection. The repetitive print seamlessly connects all pieces of the collection together, uniting all those who represent the brand; becoming part of the KUTULA army globally.

The athleisure staples consist of reversible bomber jackets, fitted tracksuits with tapered leg, low slung loop-hole vests and essential tees for men, while the womenswear offering includes Lycra basics with functional but flattering cuts. Signature crop tops, camouflage leggings, micro shorts and oversize sweaters form the womenswear line, which comes complete with an effortless, authoritative edge. Prices start from £25.
