Launched on 13th March, YR STORE, the world’s first live all-over print specialists, were excited to announce the launch their new range of women’s fully customisable co-ords!

To celebrate the launch of this new collection, YR have teamed with textile designer Velvet Jade, to give matchy-matchy print fans a selection of fresh tribal-inspired patterns to choose from. A recent first class graduate from Bath Spa’s Textiles for Fashion & Interiors degree, Velvet Jade’s work is vibrant and colourful, and uses a combination of intricate floral, geometric and Aztec designs.

Yesterday I was lucky enough to be invited down to Topshop's flagship store, Oxford Circus to check out the new range and test out some of these new prints for myself. The range includes brand new pencil skirts and cropped tops, so I was able to create my very own co-ord! En route I was definitely excited having seen some of the prints available, and so you can imagine my excitement when I find out I could manipulate these to create and design my own prints!

Using YR's interactive touch screens, which I've had a bit of fun on before at Coffin on Cake PR's press day, I created my own custom print. Manipulating the colours, adding a bit of text, then removing it, layering different elements on the existing YR x Velvet Jade designs, and voila! I had my print, but I could have easily stayed for hours playing around with it! It was also especially hard to choose from all the different options of patterns and pictures, and I was also almost sold on creating a co-ord with a repeated print of a cigar smoking, top hat wearing Pug, but I restrained myself! You are able to create completely your own unique design, but I figured I would make sure I had a strong foundation from the experts and add my touch to it!

Once I was happy, I gave the go ahead and I was able to see my co-ord printed onto YR's high quality garments within minutes, right on the shop floor! YR’s sublimation print process gives photo-quality results that are non-fading and long lasting.

The range is exclusive to Topshop Oxford Circus, so make sure you head down there and have some fun! I'm so happy with my two-piece! What do you think?

The garments themselves are a great fit! The skirt I was quite unsure about, because as with any midi skirt, you don't want that dreaded sag around your knees/calves where the material seems to just lose its elasticity when it's on. But I didn't have this issue at all with this skirt, it's such a flattering fit and the black panelling really sets off my design! I would really encourage everyone to go and check out this new range! Stay tuned for an outfit shot of this on!

Big thank you to Kitty Cowell from Coffin on Cake Pr for letting me loose on the new range! I had loads of fun!

All over prints, patterns and co-ords are the perfect combination for SS15 so what better way to get prepared for some sun! Plus, this is a sure-fire way to remove that risk of embarrassment when someone turns up to the same do wearing your outfit! Yes, we've all been there...

  1. Excellent opportunity and possibilities. Best proposition I've seen in a long time !
