NIKE X LIBERTY OF LONDON SS15

The adored Nike collaboration with Liberty of London is back for SS15, but it's a little different this time around! 

The SS15 collection features a unique new print from their extensive archives! The "Merlin" print, originally produced back in 1972 by Liberty for a silk scarf, sees its way cloaking 6 Nike silhouettes!

The element of this pack that got me so excited, was the news that is will see the relaunch of the Air Rift, which was first released in 1996 to give the feel of barefoot running. The style itself was inspired by the Great Rift Valley in Kenya, which has since influenced the theme of this whole collection. The Air Rift has always fallen under the radar for me and my trainer collection - it's never really been a go-to when I'm looking for a new pair but after being given the Liberty touch, these are definitely a must have! Perfect for this warmer weather we're starting to see her in the UK, the start of summer really will be here when I have a pair of these on my feet!

 

Not only that, there really is a pair for everyone in this SS15 collection, including collaborative editions of the Air Max Thea, the classic Air Max 90, Cortez, Tennis Classic and Zenji silhouettes. This collection gives a real balanced and eclectic selection of classic and progressive models, which I think is great! My top 2 of these are the Air Rift and of course, the Cortez, an absolute timeless trainer!

The Nike x Liberty SS15 availability begins on April 23rd, exclusively from Liberty London. Following that will be the release of the Nike x Liberty Air Rift on May 4th from select Nike retailers and online. Full availability of the collection starts on May 15th, what will you be picking up?
