#LOVEMYHOOD: 24 HOURS IN GLASGOW WITH HONEYBLOOD
Since their inception in 1989 Bench have been synonymous with music and emerging talent and their recent #LoveMyHood campaign creates renewed opportunity to partner with exciting new talent, providing a platform for them to shine. The #LoveMyHood campaign is a celebration of the city and the people who make it an exciting vibrant place to live. Playing on the dual meaning of the ‘hood’ – hoodie and neighbourhood, the campaign encourages a cross cultural exchange of city life and styles worldwide.
Scottish female two piece Honeyblood are the latest musical contributors to Bench’s #LoveMyHood guides to 24 hour life in our leading cities. This time Honeyblood’s home city of Glasgow becomes the focus as singer Stina Marie Claire shares a tour around her favourite neighbourhood hotspots.
Honeyblood, the brain child of Stina Marie Claire, supported by Cat Meyers on drums combine to form a minimal two-piece, celebrated for fusing fun alt-pop with gutsier, lo-fi punk-rock sounds. They have previously supported Sleigh Bells, Palma Violets and recently Belle and Sebastian on their US tour in March, Honeyblood have come a long way since their humble DIY beginnings.
